Paris Design Week : Souvenances par le studio dach&zephir
Galerie Layettes Champs-Élysées

On the occasion of Paris Design Week, discover the work of studio dach&zephir, for an exceptional visit of the boardroom of the Galeries Lafayette Champs-Élysées. On the occasion of the Paris Design Week 2026, studio dach&zephir — winner of the Grand Prix Design de la Ville de Paris 2026, engagement category — takes over the boardroom, the private salon of the Galeries Lafayette Champs-Élysées. The duo, whose Franco-Caribbean imaginaries permeate both their approach and their projects (from research to the publishing of objects, as well as transmission) here envisions an anniversary exhibition. Entitled Souvenances, the exhibition presents an unprecedented body of pieces/devices imagined by the duo, in which archives, images, texts and materials compose a recomposed narrative of ten years elapsed since the studio's creation. The boardroom thus becomes a sensitive setting: a living memory-box in which are deposited a set of imaginaries, knowledge and know-how that have marked their trajectory and shaped their path. What to do with these field images that accompany the projects? How to show ten years of memories without falling into a monographic exhibition? Like a thank-you addressed to the distant, the exhibition proposes freeze-frames: the object-devices —willingly blending the codes of personal, administrative and office archiving with those of fashion showrooms— become the receptacles of stories, both textual and visual, patiently preserved. And which are now offered as heritage.
