PM GALLERY presents L'Ombre de vie, an exhibition bringing together Maurice de Vlaminck, Ossip Zadkine, Benjamin Vorms and Masha Schmidt around the traces left by the living, between presence, absence and memory. Through paintings, sculptures and contemporary works, L'Ombre de vie explores what remains beyond presence: an imprint in a landscape, the memory of a body, a form or a sensation. By bringing modern and contemporary artists into dialogue, the exhibition questions the way in which the past continues to inhabit the present and how each work can become the witness of a presence that has disappeared or been transformed.
