As part of the Retrospective "William Klein : Films, etc.", this screening invites you to discover the films "Babilée 91" and "Les obsèques de François Mitterrand". Babilée 91 60 minutes, 1992 The legendary dancer Jean Babilée created, at the age of 23, Cocteau's ballet Le Jeune homme et la Mort. 35 years later, he performed Life by Maurice Béjart. Babilée is an attentive and respectful film, in which the dancer is filmed by William Klein in his everyday world, his kitchen, the streets of Paris, as he works... Through the intimate nature of the film, a Klein questioning the grip of time also emerges, Babilée being, somewhat like him, a tireless dancer looking back on the work he leaves behind.
