From April 16 to October 24, 2026, the Fondation Dubuffet presents the exhibition « Pulsions. Jean Dubuffet, les dernières années (1974-1985) », bringing together more than 150 works by the artist. In 1974, after putting an end to the L’Hourloupe cycle, Jean Dubuffet, then over 70 years old, began a new chapter of his creative work. Over ten years of intense production, he explored new artistic paths, moving freely between figuration and non-figuration. Between 1974 and 1985, he produced more than 1500 paintings and 1000 drawings, organized into around twenty series. This late period reflects the freedom of gesture and the constant boldness that characterize Jean Dubuffet's practice.
