On the occasion of the closing of the exhibition Couloirs irréguliers, SOS MÉDITERRANÉE will be present for a meeting devoted to its sea rescue missions and the human realities of migratory crossings in the Mediterranean. Volunteers from the association will come to present their actions and share their testimony about their commitment to the women, men, and children who attempt the crossing at the risk of their lives. Faced with shipwrecks and situations of distress at sea, their mission is essential: to provide assistance, to rescue, and to save lives. This meeting will also offer a deeper understanding of the conditions under which these crossings take place, the dangers faced by exiled people, and the human issues linked to sea rescue. A discussion time with the public will allow questions to be asked, will offer a concrete look at the association's actions, and will address notions of solidarity, dignity, and civic engagement.
