Did you know that the 1st car to exceed 100km/h in 1899 was… electric? Innovation doesn't always begin tomorrow! This exhibition, in collaboration with Atelier 21, (re)highlights forgotten knowledge, and puts it in dialogue with contemporary creations from design, engineering and art. The goal: to develop new avenues for research and innovation from the perspective of energy, social and ecological transition. It's time to dive into the Rétrofutur! An exhibition to see on the ground floor of the médiathèque Jean-Pierre Melville from September 22 to October 11. Through the Paléo-énergétique program, Atelier 21 unearths simple, robust and often forgotten devices — heat recovery, solar cooking, passive systems, low-tech infrastructures — concrete avenues for moving away from dependence on petrochemical materials. ** An inaugural conference followed by an opening reception is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23 at 5pm ** Exhibition supported by the Caisse locale du Crédit Agricole Ile-de-France
