Salon de l'extra-terrestre : un événement de création contemporaine
Forma, centre d'exposition

In this first Salon de l'extra-terrestre, around twenty artists present their works and demystify the extra-terrestrial and the illusions it carries. As space activities strongly return to the forefront of media attention, the Observatoire de l'Espace, the cultural laboratory of the CNES (the French space agency), invites twenty-two artists to consider the relationship between human societies and outer Space. In this Salon open to everyone, the works presented address and deconstruct the myths and images of the space adventure such as the figure of the hero, otherness, or the spiritual investment of Space. Drawn from the contemporary art collection of the Observatoire de l'Espace and from collaborations with the artists, these sculptures, paintings, videos, installations and photographs move away from conventional representations of Space to give a more nuanced image of the space adventure and place it back within a collective and everyday experience. With the artists Pat Andrea, Mona Cara, Grégory Chatonsky, Raphaël Dallaporta, Bertrand Dezoteux, Benoît Géhanne, Paul Gibert, Stephan Goldrajch, Michel Gouéry, Annabelle Guetatra, Cédric Hoareau, Gaspard Maîtrepierre, Vincent Odon, Aurélie Pagès, Loïc Pantaly, Élise Parré, Charles-Henry de Pimodan, Olivain Porry, Chloé Silbano, Mary Sue, Jeanne Susplugas, Virginie Yassef Guided tours Every day at 3pm, free with (mandatory) reservation at ode.inscription@gmail.com
