Simulacres aux Magasins Généraux
Magasins Généraux

Les Magasin Généraux present the group exhibition « Simulacres » from June 25 to September 27, 2026. When art disrupts reality. The exhibition explores the many ways in which artists blur the boundaries between reality and appearance. From artisanal processes to the most advanced technologies, it highlights the strategies of mimicry, illusion and simulation that run through the recent history of artistic creation. Hyperrealism, perceptual games, digital simulacra, and images generated by artificial intelligence — the exhibition questions our ability to distinguish the true from the false. Between fascination, vertigo and critique, « Simulacres » thus decodes the shifts of perception at a time when images become increasingly indiscernible, when the false and the illusion are no longer the exception but a norm to be understood, outwitted or sublimated.
