Toi et ta bande. Exposition collective

The exhibition “Toi et ta bande” brings together practices by artists and collectives located in a variety of territories – countryside, high mountains, islands – whose common point is the choice to be set apart from urban centres. The exhibition brings together some thirty works that sketch the outlines of a social and artistic field, revealing the singularity of the territories in which they take shape: Limousin, Cévennes, Corse, Hautes-Pyrénées, Pays Basque, etc. The title, borrowed from a work by Gina Proenza, evokes the multiple “bandes” [bands/strips/gangs] running through the exhibition: artists’ collectives, communities of life, work and struggle, so many forms that question ways of being together.
