For a production of meaning in the age of saturation, by Pli office. We live surrounded by objects. Produced, distributed, consumed, they respond, anticipate, simplify—but in trying to solve everything, they no longer say much. And if mass production kept its promise of a functional and accessible world, it above all created an overabundance from which a disenchantment now emerges. That of designers confronted with obsolescence, accumulation and modes of production, and that of the objects themselves, weary and disappointed by our lack of attention and consideration. But something remains, insists and resists. An opaque tension, let's call it chaos. It is not disorder, it is what escapes function, resists language and does not always find its place. Tout est Chaos is thus an invitation to experience objects that reintroduce desire and poetry by engaging the relationship where there was once only function. It is precisely there that design begins. Christopher Dessus, curator of the exhibition
