Winner of the Prix des Amis du Palais de Tokyo 2026-2027, Céleste Richard-Zimmermann proposes to explore a shared world in ruins, where the symbols of power are crumbling. An irreverent reflection on our world. Since 2008, the Association des Amis du Palais de Tokyo has awarded a prize to an emerging artist in order to support and promote contemporary creation in France. The winning proposal of this edition, by Céleste Richard-Zimmermann, is a reflection on the symbols of power built around a broken column, hollow and unstable. Sculptures, fragments and sound devices make up a space traversed by gestures of destruction and transformation, where the memory and the becoming of our edifices are replayed, questioning the resistance and circulation of forms.
