For its first exhibition, the Palais des enfants invites transparency! A playful and sensory journey to experience as a family, where artistic works and scientific experiments play with light to awaken the curiosity and wonder of the youngest visitors. In an imaginary world designed to spark curiosity and fun, young and old wander freely from a shimmering palace of mirrors to a cave of crystalline treasures, venturing at times into a mysterious forest, toward a radiant sky, or into the depths of a multicolored ocean. The arts of sculpture, printmaking, and photography engage in dialogue with the sciences, through interactive and sensory devices. Between 19th-century creations and contemporary works, immersive pieces such as those by Dan Graham and Soo Sunny Park, ideal for group discovery, and more introspective creations such as those by Patrick Neu and Agathe May, the exhibition offers an original exploration that renews our perception of transparency and light. Children and accompanying adults experiment with the many nuances of transparency, exchange their observations from translucency to darkness, and marvel at the richness of nature as much as that of craftsmanship, throughout a journey punctuated by spaces for play and contemplation. The exhibition continues through an activity booklet, a podcast on transparency… and soon, guided sessions with a series of events to go even further!
