The Institut National des Jeunes Aveugles opens its doors for the JEP 2026! On the occasion of the Journées européennes du patrimoine 2026, the company Canon, the musée Coupvray, Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, the Campus Louis Braille, the Ecole des Chiens Guides de Paris and the public institution Institut National des Jeunes Aveugles (INJA-Louis Braille) are joining together to welcome you on Saturday, September 19, from 10am to 5pm, at 56 boulevard des Invalides Paris 7ème. Come admire the historic heritage of a listed building and discover expertise in the field of visual impairment: The journey and training of a guide dog for the blind, exceptional and fully accessible photo exhibitions, start-ups specialized in culture…. Free visits, but also guided tours will be offered in these places steeped in history where Louis Braille lived, the inventor of the universal writing and reading system for blind people around the world. Guided tour departures: 10:30am, 11:30am, 2:30pm and 3:30pm. Throughout the day, you can also attend concerts (jazz, variety) while refreshing yourself in the Helen Keller sensory garden. We look forward to welcoming many of you for this day rich in discoveries (no registration required, neither for the guided tours nor for the free circuit).
